Tamás Gyulávári
Tamás Gyulavári is a Professor of Labour Law and Chair of Labour Law Department at Pázmány Péter Catholic University in Budapest. After his graduation in Budapest (1992), he continued his studies at Warwick, Groningen, Aix-Marseille and Lund Universities. After his PhD on EU Labour Law (2002) and habilitation on economically dependent work (2010), he was a visiting fellow at the European University Institute (2013). He has been a visiting professor at Porto, Bologna, Santiago de Compostela, Vienna, Quito, Jakarta and Loyola Chicago Universities. He has published and edited 13 books and over 60 articles in Hungarian, and over 15 articles in English, including top journals such as Industrial Law Journal, European Labour Law Journal and Maastricht Journal of European and Comparative Law. He is editor of the “Hungarian Labour Law E-Journal”. He has been a Senior Advisor to the Supreme Court (2015-2018) and advisor to Kende Law Office in Budapest (from 2009). He has been working in a dozen of EU projects in association with Human European Consultancy, Leeds University, Université Lumière Lyon II, Labour Asociados and ASTREES. He was also an ILO expert in Albania (2012-2016). He is the member of the European Labour Law Network and the Academic Network of Experts on Disability. He is the co-editor of the book on “Decent work in the digital age” with Emanuele Menegatti (Hart Publishing, 2022). He is an expert of the Socieux+ project in Kazakhstan on “Showcase of EU good practices for digital platform work” (2022-2023).
